i set your things to 0

inside my mind.

Folded nicely in a box

were just piles of

compounding interest,

separate but synergistic,

infinite in reminiscence...

in the strongest cardboard

box that i could find.

i wish i knew the math it took

to figure out how poly cloth

and little scraps of paper

could be time machines

of exponential memories.

You'll throw them in the laundry.

Crumpled in the pantry garbage.

i thought i was the unit i.

You, the stoic e, next to me.

We danced in circles --

you and me.

All our memories...

an irrational slice of pastry.

Squaring circles

in cardboard vertices,

i couldn't bare to think

of a plus 1 in our memories --

in the proof that only

you and i would know.

i did the math and subtracted i

while the real and imaginary dined

on infinite pi and a dry Bordeaux.

And inside my mind,

i set your things to 0.
